See Me Now

Look Left Look Right

Overview

Look Left Look Right is an award-winning theatre company making work inspired by and about the contemporary world. Inspired by ordinary and extraordinary places, people and real stories, they recreate experiences and memories in a unique theatrical medium where audiences often play their part in the work. Blending truth and fiction, reality and fantasy, Look Left Look Right has always focused on the experiences of voiceless communities, using verbatim techniques as well as working with non-professional performers.

Working directly with participants at every step to stage their stories, See Me Now is a daring new show created and performed by sex workers in a play about an invisible side of everyday life. Eleven people share their painful, touching and often hilarious stories. Male, female and transgender, they are teachers, cleaners and parents, but behind closed doors they’re also paid to make their clients feel good - in all sorts of ways. Some do it for the money, some for love and some for unexpected reasons.
