Prime Cut Productions
Based in Belfast, Prime Cut Productions is one of Northern Ireland’s leading independent theatre producers. Established in 1992, the company has mounted more than 50 Northern Irish premieres of the best international plays as well showcasing the work of local theatre-makers across the Island of Ireland and beyond. Under Emma Jordan’s artistic directorship Prime Cut is committed to producing memorable and thought-provoking theatre, providing innovative training for theatre artists and increasing accessibility and participation in the arts for young and older people, people from minority groups and those living in marginalised and hard to reach communities.
Scorch confronts ideological norms which have for so long shaped our understanding and beliefs surrounding sexuality and gender. Co-produced by the Outburst Queer Arts Festival and featuring a striking performance by Amy McAllister, this multi-award winning show explores first love through the eyes of a gender-curious teen and examines how human stories often gets lost amidst the headlines.
